Twitter, Facebook and things like that....

When you say Facebook or Twitter, everybody will know, what do you mean. Facebook, Twitter - very powerful phenomenon of today. Millions of people have their account there. Even some of them are addicted to that! Some people claim, that these things are harmful for society, because lots of people just sit in front of the computer and they don't talk to their friends or relatives face to face, but just only through the medium of Internet or mobile phone. Yes, that's really true. We should think of it a lot....
But there are also thing, we couldn't manage face to face or it would be thousand times more difficult than via Internet. I think, that things like facebook or twitter can connect people, who would otherwise never met. And can also help people find people, who will support them, when their parents or relatives don't. I think it may be one of the reasons, why some people become addicted to it. Maybe these people found there something, what they can't find between their friends or family. Perhaps is our society "ill" in some way. For example when parents always work and have no time for their child, will this child search support and love in other places - between his or her friends on facebook, twitter,... People in different situations are trying to escape from their average lifes to the lifes, they would like to have. They can create twitter account as Johny Depp or Christina Aguilera or some other famous celebrity and life just for some time more interesting life than they have. And I think, that people start loosing their own identity this way. They start living completely different life... But it has a small problem - this one isn't real....
But where is the mistake? Who is responsible for this? I think, that we all are a bit responsible. But also MEDIA - such as TV or web. They are the most powerful in this way! They have a big power to form our mind. When someone in TV says, that wearing baggy jeans is cool - than guess, what happens! - everyone on the street will wear baggy jeans...
So is twitter or facebook good or evil? I can't say it. Anyway - they're really powerful.

I'm such a proud Czech!...... sometimes:(

I saw the video from Chile a few days ago - I think everyone knows what I mean. Yes! Our "amazing" czech president Václav Klaus and his famous pen. First time I watched that, I didn't know if I should laugh or get angry... Only thing I was able to do, was just sit and goggle at my computer. I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought, it's only a bad joke - but unfortunately it wasn't.
Until now I had been such a proud Czech. Czech history is very rich and interesting. The Czech Republic has a lot of important personalities. Since the oldest times... For example st. Wenceslas (sv. Václav) , Charles IV. (Holy Roman Emperor), John Amos Comenius, John Hus, Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, Karel Čapek, Josef Čapek, Alfons Mucha, Vlastimil Burian..... and I can add more and more names. I have always been proud of them. But if I see our czech politicians (not only our representative president, whose opinions are really popular, but also other politicians...) - my national pride gets lower and lower.
More than 2 000 000 people watched this famous video in only few days... The Czech Republic has never had such a great reputation! Thanks to our amazing president...
Everyone knows about czech crisis and also endeavours to get out of state debt. Our government tries so much! Sometimes I feel like I couldn't metaphorically breath. All the expenses get higher and higher. Our politicians promise and promise but I feel like there would be some Black Hole, where disappear all the money. And everything gets more and more expensive.... And the time, when we can't pay all of this, is not unfortunately very close, I think. I have never had such a misery - there have always been some things I couldn't afford, but still I could live kind of a normal quiet life. But I don't feel so certain anymore. My grandmother said: "Money aren't the most important thing, but it's good to have them." And I think the same. I know, that there are more important things than money (such as family and friends), but it's also good to have some money.
So I can't give credit to our government. No more. I love The Czech Republic, but sometimes I can't breath there....

Funny video about a lamp - Jan Kraus

I translated a video from czech talkshow "Uvolněte se, prosím!" (Relax, please!). It made me laugh a lot. I don't know if I translated it correctly. Because also in original are there "mistakes". I hope, that can make you laugh, too. And I also hope, that all the jokes aren't lost in translation!!
This sketch is about a manual of a Vietnamese lamp. Enjoy it!

The Czech Republic

I found a very funny foreign video about The Czech Republic - but I must add: "I don't like beer!!!!!":D:D:D lol!:D:D
The Czech Republic

My experience&my opinion

In the end of last September I started my studies on The First Faculty Of Medicine on The Charles University in Prague. I study General Medicine. That's all I ever wanted. Everyone told me that it will be very hard and I will have to learn every day. And they also tried to suggest me to choose another school. But I didn't want to. I have always wanted to become a doctor. Even when I was a small kid and some of my dolls broke, I fixed it and this doll was ill. I have never thrown away any of my dolls....
So I have been a kind of doctor since my childhood. :D:D:D
In Prague I met lots of great and fantastic people! My roommates and schoolmates are really brilliant people. I've never studied in the middle of such an amazing group of people! We support each other very much. And support from my family is also wonderful!!
And I really enjoy most of my subjects at school! They're really interesting! But I have to learn sooooo much! I like it anyway!! Because if you do something you really like, it will be pleasure to do it. Sure, it's very exhausting sometimes... But my loving family, great family and the fact, that I love it, helps me to manage it!
So in my experience loving family helps everyone to handle the worst problems or the hardest situations of the life - or at least tries to. I think that family should be kind of haven in our lifes. It should be the place, where we can always return in trouble but also in times of happiness. It all can provide us strength, love and much more...
But it's sad, that lots of children don't have such haven. They live in children's homes without any family or they have family, who doesn't care for them. And for example in Africa is the situation much worse!
So I believe, if we all stop in our lifes full of rush for a minute and think of all, we can make our world much better place!!
